Got the mailing from Bass Pro yesterday. WWB USA 115 grain FMJ is listed at $4.86, box of 50, no limit mentioned. The best part is it's not listed as being on sale. The ad simply says price reduction from $6.99,or $6.97 (Don't have the ad in front of me). That works out to $48.60 per 500 (using new math), $97.20 per 1000. Not bad.

Sorry for the double post. My laptop at work hiccuped. Don't know how to get the first one off. :?

I checked their website, and stopped by Bass Pro Shops today on the way home from work, and they knew nothing of this. Could it be a local thing? Is there any coupon, or anything like that? I'd like to get some, but the local Bass Pro Shop doesn't seem to know anything about it...

There was no mention of a coupon. I'll go to the local store here today. The sale papers are just inside the door, since apparently she who must be obeyed has thrown away the one that came in the mail. Again, it wasn't listed as a sale, but a price reduction. It's possible this was an error or misprint. I'll keep you posted.

I SCREWED up!

It was NOT Bass Pro!

It was an ad in the sports section of Tuesday's paper for ACADEMY announcing the price reduction. HTOWN stunna had it right saying that Academy in Houston had the same ammo for $4.86. The Bass Pro paper came on, you guessed it, Tuesday and obviously I was :? .

Still not a bad price, but next time I'll check my facts twice before posting, and make sure I'm taking the blue pills instead of the red ones.

I called Bass Pro Shops on this and they never heard of it. Price still is $6.99 per box. I did order some of the 100 rd boxes at $11.99 each though.

No worries man. I just wish I had an Academy nearby, but Walmart will have to do for now. Shooting 2,000 or so rounds per month is adding up, and every little bit helps.
