That's actually a decent price for the GAP rounds, and I have never seen GAP ammo at any of the Wal Marts around me.

Went to Wal Mart this evening. The nearest one is close to a bunch of yuppy\female type stores, they don't have much of a firearm department. For 40 caliber ammo, there was enough shelf space for six 100 round boxes. One left.

I haven't had 165 gr ammo before. Might have to post my first range report.

fade2black - however many WallyWorld (or whoever) has in stock. Go to cheaper competitors first & see how many they have in stock. Gander has a book with local competitors phone #'s & they call to confirm. The guy at Gander said this will work on sale prices as well. I got 2 last week - would have got more, but that's all they had...Good Luck!

The Walmart gun counter guy here in Saginaw said their value packs might be going up in price sometime in April...though not sure when.

Wonder why there is such a variation in price from state to state???

I got my XD-40 last March and was paying $14.97 back then. Around last Oct/Nov they went up to $15.97 and have been the same since.

Gander went from $19.99 to $20.99 just in the last month. I'll keep hitting them on the low-price guarantee until things change.

They are at the same $15.97 for the 100rd value pack for the .40S&W here in California. THats true for both Walmarts that i've bought this ammo from.

Oh and for the original poster... 5 boxes of wwb in the 100rd value pack(500rds) would be after sales tax = $86.44 which would make it overall cheaper than midway after shipping.
