Excellent. Put 100 rounds threw her with no problem. This 10mm is very accurate. After shooting some offhand, I sat down and rested my hands on the bench (first time I've ever fired a handgun this way). I was able to put 9 rounds thru about a quarter sized hole at 25'. This gun is more accurate than I'll ever be.
I was shooting Remington 180gr that I believe are listed at 1100fps which is a mild round for 10mm. It felt like a +P .45acp round.

Me likey...8)... lots.

Nice shooting. The S&W 1006 is a fine pistol...no doubt about it.

This is my first S&W semi-auto pistol. I know everyone is into the polymer stuff these days but for the life of me I don't understand why Smith doesn't make the stainless models anymore. The 1006 is a fine piece of steel. Solid, reliable, and accurate. I'd like to get a 4506 next. I'm sold on this design.

I had a 5906 then a 1006 in the mid 90's I ended up selling the 5906 and buying a 3913 and just sold the 1006 because it was hard to find ammo. It was a nice gun though. I still have and sometimes carry the 3913.

Fine machine!!... to say the least.

The Kentucky State Police carried them
and had good comments and results. They
were a hefty machine but got the job done.

The hiring of persons to fill the vacant slots
were just not up to par physically to MAN
the machine, thus they went to the .40SW
and traded in those fine machines. I just
happen to have one with the KSP logo and
it is a joy to shoot at the range. It is a safe
queen otherwise. Normal 10mm shooting, I
change out the slide in the Witness .45ACP
to 10 mm.
