appx 1000 rounds.

I just wonder what the inside of the slide looks like. I have some pieces that look like Copper on the slide (don't really look like rust)

Anyone?

Please help

I have more than 1000 rounds through my XD9 and I don't have any noticable wear on the inside of the slide or anything resembling what you describe. Maybe you could post a picture of what it looks like. Have you tried cleaning it off?

Yeah, I have that. I am pretty sure that it is from the ejector biting the casings. When I shoot brass, the little bits are brass. When I shoot Al, the little bits are Al.

Clean your gun and all will be well.

if it's little specs that look gold in color, then it's copper shavings from having a feed problem with your barrel, Mine does this, in fact it's in springfields hands right now for repair.

if it doesn't feed properly it actually scrapes pieces of brass off the casing of the round. and deposits them throughout the gun.

I am not a gunsmith, this is just what i was told by the gunsmith i go to.
