I have read here , that you should at least fire 100 rounds of self-defense ammo , to be sure about it. So instead of shooting the normal 115gr , wwb's at the range. I shot my Win SXT's 147gr jhp & my federal hydra-shok's 135gr jhp. The recoil between the wwb's & the 2 premium ammo , was significantly different. The premium ammo almost had no recoil at all. Is this just my imagination ? Has anyone shot anyof the above & noticed the significant difference in recoil ?

it should be just the opposite. the "premium" or self defense ammo usually kicks harder. try speer gold dots. actually hydrashoks advertise as "low recoil" on the box so im not sure they are loaded as " +P ". this may be why u didnt experience a significant difference.
