any recomendations on holsters for the short one?

I carry in the Comp-Tac C-TAC. If I had the money I'd probably get a Tucker Gunleather "The Answer". I might get around to it some day. The Comp-Tac is great though.

I have a kydex fist #1 from gunner's alley... made for southpaws, for use with or without a belt, I had few options, and the guys there were able to research it for me. $32 IIRC. It is very thin, and pretty comfortable, I would have gotten one with a cant if I were you. It is molded specifically for your gun, so the hold is secure: I feel comfortable carrying open or close most anywhere, even without a backstrap. But I wonder if kydex is having a negative effect on the finish, so I might be in the market for a new one myself.

I've also got a FIST K1 from Gunners Alley and like it. Retension is excellent. I show a little holster wear, but the only real way around that is stainless. I've seen plenty of holster wear from leather also.

I'm in the market for a CCW holster also. I have read good things about the Milt Sparks Holsters particularly the Versa Max 2 also known as the VM2

It has the option of cowhide or horsehide. I have read that horsehide is better next to the skin.

Im not sure if anyone on this forum has one and can give first hand kutos for this holster.

Just got mine the other day for my Sig 245 and let me tell ya it is one of the best holsters I have ever seen or used. I wore the holster for the day when I got it to break it in some and forgot it was even there.
