First of all I am new to this forum, and I want to say hi 
Next, I want to ask your opinions on what I should do about the rust on my xd. Yes I have searched the forum and there is a lot of posts about this. I want to know how the different coating options wear and look! I am looking for a matte black coating. Does SA have a better coating that they can put on if I send it back. All of your experiences will certainly help me make up my mind on what to do. I want to do the coating on all of the exterior metal -slide, trigger, safety. Let me know.
Lastly.......... I had a failure to feed a while ago and thought that I should share how I fixed it. My xd40 would feed a round and it would get cocked slightly downward and jam the slide. My academy instructors and I found a very slight nick in the feed ramp from the machining process. I took some 1500 grit automotive sandpaper with some gun oil and wet sanded the feed ramp and surrounding areas. After that I polished it op with some Mothers mag wheel polish. Since then it has fed whatever ammo I cram in the mag. Just thought I would share so that maybe it might help someone. Well I'll stop rambling now. :roll:
