I sold my Browning HP and bought a XDm 3.8 compact 9mm. I had a lot of old handloaded 9mm ammo. Mostly Lyman lead truncated cone bullets loaded with 4 gr. Bullseye in FC once fired cases. I ran 100 rounds through the XDm with excellent results. No jams and all within a 5.5" 25 yard slow fire target if I did my part. But I did get a small amount of leading in the barrel.
I am considering changing the load to Red Dot 3.5 to 4 gr. a very light gentle load just enough to work the action. This would be a fun range load and not for serious self protection. Does anyone have any experience with lead bullets in the 9mm XDm?
