Found a good buy at Natchez Shooters Supply. 124gr Star Fire HP s for $8.00 box or $ 7.50 for 10 or more. My questions?

1. Is it a good defense round?
2. Anyone ever have any feeding problems or other problem?

Less than two weeks and the OD Green XD-9, will have the home it deserves. Thank everyone for all the good info here.

Starfire is pretty good from what I've heard. I haven't shot any myself, but its probably in the top 10 of defensive ammunition. I think PMC makes Star Fire.

If it's for your personal defense, carry the best ammo available no matter what the cost!
In 9mm I carry the Federal Hydra-Shok 147 +p+ JHP's and in .45 I carry Federal PD 230 +p JHP's, and I really don't care what it costs because my life is worth more than $7.50 a box.

BTW, Starfires are made by PMC and are considered their high quality ammo.

Congrats on your XD purchase McCloud

Good Luck & Good Shootin'
