avg.5 shoot group 4" at 15 yards sucks cant hit nothing better off
throwing the bullet

180 gr hornady xtp hollow point
federal no.100 small pistol primers
8.5 gr of bluedot avg. Velocity 1100fps
avg.5 shoot group 1.5" at 15 yards

hydra-shocks vs ballistic gelatin
Penetration 11 1/2" opened up to .655 stayed together

reload#1 universal vs ballistic gelatin
Penetration 13" opened up to .651 stayed together

reload#2
bluedot vs ballistic gelatin
Penetration 15 1/2" opened up to .710 stayed together

the hornady xtp is the only hollow points my dealer had in at the time
when i get my order their will be more testing i order some
155 gr speer gold dot, 155 gr hornady xtp,135 gr nosler Hollow ponts

what i found out today
reloads are as good manufactured ammo
universal powder sucks using 180 gr xtp
8.5 gr of bluedot and 180 gr bullet shows some high Pressure Signs
and kicks like a b**** in my xd40

will post pics soon

I assume you are talking about self defense ammo. As a general rule, you should never use reloaded ammo for carry. I have been reloading for over 28 years, and even pulled a stint in LE. I would never carry reloaded ammo for self defense. There are legal issues as well as reliability issues.

I saw some results of various .44 mag rounds into ballistic gelatin and the XTP's had incredible penetration vs. everything else.

Was your gelatin calibrated?
