I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this, but I've searched for 'mag', 'magazine', and 'trim' and haven't found a post on this.
Awhile back, I was taking apart my XD-40 mags and noted the TALL follower (This is in 10 Rnd mags distributed during the klintoon ban). Holding the spring to keep just a bit of pressure on the loaded rounds, I put 8, 9, 10 in and noted I still had a bit of space. When inserting the 11'th rnd, the "tail" (for lack of a better term) of the follower passed the end of the magazie tube.
It apears that if one would trim a bit (less than 1/4'') off this tail (then file/ reshape it round) this would be an easy +1 for our mags.
Anyone try it yet :?:
