I have a ruger stainless 10/22 ,the barrel band / upper reciever / lower reciever and trigger group are painted a dull silver-gray but the barrel is stainless and have never seen one that was painted ? I would call ruger and ask about that.The 10/22 number is 1-603-865-2442.
