The Brown Bear brass plated steel jacketed #4 shot. Its exactly 2.750, after its shot and before its shot.
This is the "3inch" shell. Its measurement before being shot is 2.750 inches, this is to allow for expansion from what I have gathered.
This is a 2.5 inch shell. it measures 2.385 inches prior to shooting, so afterwards, its probably +or- .1in off of the 2.5.
This is a 2.5 inch shell. Its measurement before shooting is 2.276, which is not 2.250, its just .056 larger than the others which measured at 2.250
