Does anyone know when the XDs9 will be available
No word lately although I did read they might introduce one at SHOT. Just rumors though.
Someone posted yesterday in another XDS 9 thread that according to springfield its in testing right now. so it should be out soon. If you want one you better get on a list. They'll sell fast just like the 45
I would say you could get your hands on one in about 7 months
This time next year??
I was going to wait for the 9mm 0r .40 XDs but I had a feeling they would still be a while. Besides, .45 is a bigger bang for the buck. I can't see them charging a whole lot less if any at all for other calibers of the same gun...
Stopped in at my LGS Saturday and they said the Springfield rep said release will be in March. Unfortunately I forgot to get a clarification on the year. They also said it will be 6+1 capacity.
Yeah, they said the original XDS in .45 would be released in March. I waited for months and finally gave in and bought a sub compact. Needless to say. A few weeks later it finally showed up.
If the size is the same; the .45 is the better choice, unless the user has problems with the increased recoil.
Why not have increased capacity? Only thing I can guess here is it will be smaller then the .45.
I would say it should be announced tomorrow at the SHOT show since the XDS specific site is now down and is taking you directly to springfield's main site.
I would guess (and evidence points to) it will be the same size as the current .45. And if the info my LGS got from the Springfield rep is correct it will have increased capacity, the .45 is 5+1, supposedly the 9mm will be 6+1.
...."moves some things around in the safe getting ready..."
They need to hurry up and take my money!!!
Ah, yes. You are correct. I was mistaken.
