So...last Thursday, I took the package with the prepaid label to the local FedEx agent. They wouldn't take a firearm. (Someone had been in the same day, and the FedEx rep spied the Springfield address on my box) They said "if that's a firearm, we can't accept it here". Not wanting the hassle, I scheduled a pickup. The FedEx driver shows up today, and immediately tells me that they can't take any packages going to Springfield Armory. He stated that Springfield's FedEx account has been changed to a "Cash Only" status. He said I would have to pay for the shipment out of pocket. I asked if he was talking about a charge for the pickup itself, or the shipping charges. He said the shipment itself. I asked how much it would be, and he said he would have to call and find out. I said never mind. I called Springfield, and the CS rep stated that they are having problems with FedEx. I spoke to FedEx, and they said it's probably a clerical error. Is anyone else having trouble shipping their XDs?
