How many carry their XDs as their primary carry gun? Doesn't matter what caliber, I'm just curious as to how many of you do and why. Let me know your thoughts and remember this is subjective so, I just want to know each persons reasons.

I haven't broke in my .40 yet but, am really looking to make it my primary to replace my current setup as the grip just fits my hand much better. I have a smaller hand and the XDs grip is really comfortable to me.

I carry the XDs (45) as my primary. It disappears nicely IWB as it's not too bulky. Very comfortable shooter for me.

Thank you. I am waiting on an IWB holster from Black Arch holsters to give a try and see how I like that route. I am usually a leather OWB kind of guy.

I switch between my XDS 45 and mod 2 9mm. I guess it depends on how I'm feeling or wearing that day

During warm weather, the .45 XDs is my primary in an IWB holster carried at the appendix. It's very easy to conceal that way with a spare magazine in a cargo pocket (I use cargo shorts a lot).

I've used it once at a BUG (back up gun) match carried exactly as I carry it and took second place shooting against .380s and 9mm pistols. It's a great pistol.

XDs .45 3.3" is my primary. I chose it because my normal attire is "business casual" - khakis and tucked button-down shirt so I needed a gun that can carry IWB in a tuckable holster and is small but powerful enough I didn't feel like I was giving up firepower in exchange for size. The XDs fit that bill for me..

I used to; but once I got my Sig P320 I traded the XDs45 & put the XDs9 in the safe.

The Sig P320 subcompact was my first choice but, I could not find one locally to try out. I cannot risk the money to buy a gun online without first trying the grip fit to my hand. If the chance to try one comes around, and fit is good, I still may pick one up. In the meantime, the XDs .40 is really tickling my fancy for fit. :)

XDS-45 is my main carry due to conceal-ability and the 45 ACP is a more powerful round than a 40. Ammo is about the same cost. Waiting to see if Sig introduces the P320 subcompact in 45 ACP at the Shot Show. If so, I may change my carry decision.
