airsoft. not to be confused with the metal bbs or .177 pellets.

And for that money you can get the real deal with just a little bit more cash.

I saw one at Wally World last week. It was a bb gun for around $40. It was not an exact copy, but was just off enough that the makers couldn't be sued :)

Depends on the gun - the WE is under $100 and from what I hear pretty good imitation - the Tokyo Mauri model is pretty close to an airsoft that is the real thing. That is $175 with mags about 35 or so. My wife got me this for Christmas to practice for summer USPSA - they also have a whole line of targets that are close to the ones in competition. I have been told that in Japan this is the only way that they can practice due to their gun laws - then then come here and get to use the real thing. I put better sights on mine, like on my real gun and it works pretty good - weight is I think within a couple of oz of the actual gun - and while not as good as my 5.25 is fun and good practice on target and sight skills.

I suppose it's good for that purpose, wait being similar and all but I can't believe how close to the real thing that looks.
