I've decided to part ways with my XDM 40 its just too big to carry so I'm going to sell it to get something new. I was wondering about how much a bi-tone with about 200 rounds through it could be sold for privately. It comes with everything in the box and it still looks brand new.

My guess, $400. I personally would be suspicious of why someone is selling a very popular handgun with only 200 rounds.

I'm not out to get anybody. I purchased it in January of this year and I got my CWL in April. Then I moved to Texas in May and I can't carry here yet so besides the 200 or so rounds I shot at the range in Arkansas to practice for the exam its been sitting in the case. I realized it was too big to carry after I got my license, go figure.

Saw a few XDs listed for consignment at my local dealer not too long ago. Based on the price for those, I'd say $450 is reasonable and $500 if you are lucky.

 Wow, I am not set seeing the prices out there that you guys are. Whether it be online or local sale, Bi-tone XDM 40 between 500 - 600. That's what I would list mine for, but then again I would never sell it. ;)

I just paid $609 + tax for a new XDM9 Bi-Tone here in Texas, I would think no more than $500 used.

Well see... the gun has to be transferred and if shipped it has to be sent to an FFL and then you gotta pay them too... so $350-$400 would be reasonable since you would have to pay at least $50 more for the FFL transfer and all that.

You could just hold onto it until you get your Texas CCW and then try to trade at a dealer for a carry piece. I have one in black, but might be interested in another as a backup for that one as a Limited gun in USPSA. But I would have to convince the wife that spending more for trigger parts and new sights was something that we just couldn't live without!

I'm selling for $400 first come first serve in Dallas, TX that way there won't have to be any FFL fees.

That's a shame. It would have to be VERY serious for me to part with mine. And then I would still have a very hard time doing it.

I hope you get what you are looking for.

I bought my black/black melonite XDM-40 brand new for around $650, I wanted the bi-tone but it was around $100 dollars more. I would say that you can can and easy $500 for it, if I had the money I would pay that much for it.
I would take it to your local gun shop/range and try to sell it there. Better yet, find out when the next gun show is and I guarantee that you will sell it.
    Good luck!

Selling at a gun show is the best bet. So much exposure to gun people. I have sold many at gun shows. Get a 1x2 wooden 3 foot stake and make a 2 sided sign with large bold letters so people can see several isles over what you have and you will sell. So many people just walk around with their sale piece and no one knows its for sale. Most assume you just bought it. Use a sign, I've seen a huge dif in selling time.

If this helps at all, I recently sold a regular XD 45c at a local gun show. It had everything and had about 600 rounds through it. First guy balked at $400, 2nd guy took it with a counter offer of $350.
