So I just ordered the maxtuck but was also looking into a pocket holster for the quick trips out. Anyone carry this in their pocket? Too heavy or large to be comfortable? Any recommended pocket holsters? Thanks for the advice

Try Sticky holsters, put it in your pocket or waist band... I dont have first hand experience but I have read reviews and have one on the way.

I've ordered this one from Alabama Holster Co.

I doubt you'll pull off pocket carry wearing skinny jeans. I wear BDU shorts most of the time. Plenty of room for an XDS in the front pocket. Carry spare mags in the left cargo pocket.

I would go for a sticky model MD2 . I've had much success with stickys for pocket carry.

I've heard good things about the "recluse" , but don't know if they have one for the Xds yet .

I'd go wih sticky for pocket carry -- very comfy and the material they use (kinda like a "quality" spongy material) is very good for pocketing .

My LGS has em' for $21 bucks .

I prefer IWB myself but have pocketed it in cargo style shorts, don't know if I could in jeans.

I wear cargo shorts almost everyday, and even with my LCP I struggle with the mags bouncing around in the side pockets. It seems hard to get them out quickly also, which could be a real problem in an emergency situation. Maybe one of those pocket mag carriers would help?:?:

Alabama Holster Company makes some of the nicest kydex pocket holsters. (front or back, square or curved bottom) They have a wait like everyone else, but their quality is superb. (They're also a damn good price!!!)

All true. I need to get one of those so the mag stays put and it oriented in a known direction. I'm going to see if I can get the Alabama folks to make me a double mag carrier.

I like that Alabama one, but when I go to their web site, they don't list the XDs as one of the guns they make a holster for. Am I missing something?

It's only because it's so new. You have a comment box that asks what gun you want the holster fitted for at the order screen. Just type in "Springfield Armory XDs .45ACP"
