Stippled the rear of the slide for glare reduction
Let me tell you that I really tried hard to pick apart this pistol but I just couldnt I couldnt find one thing I didnt like about it. Even though im not a huge fan of the 40 cal and the V10 model im still going to say that this is the best looking XD ive seen on this forum. Everything is put together very well. If only it were a tactical 5" it would be a dead on 10/10 in my book.
Be proud, hold on tight and dont let it go!! Very nice!!
I'm not being hateful here, just my worthless opinion.
There is only one thing more I would have done.
I would have had the internals and pins hard chromed or NP3ed to bring the polished shine of that awesome barrel and spring rod end out more.
But I think she looks great the way it is.
Since you are happy with it, I'm happy with it.
I've been considering getting my barrel and spring rod end polished on my XD45c.
I think your pics just convinced me to do it.
Could you explain what exactly was done to the tip of the barrel to give it the look it has? It appears to be very different than anything I have seen on a barrel before.
And even further, would you be willing to take a picture of the barrel disassembled from the gun? I really want to see that thing outside of the gun. How much would it cost to get the barrel done like this?
