My new XD-9 sub compact has a little rectangular mark in front of the take-down lever .
Is this the frame mold marks that are used to make the full size XD's?
Kinda like where one mold inserts a "filler" to fill up the normal void where the full size XD has the cut-out portion for the take-down lever ? Sorry to sound confusing and not to post a pic, but I dont know how to post a pic on here .

Look at the takedown lever on the XD sub compact . Then look just a few mm's in front of it . There is a rectangular shaped mark . This is what I am talking about .

I don't know what it is, but my XD9sc has the same thing. Can't say that I've ever noticed it before. :)

I compared my XD-9 Service to it and I do belive it is what I thought . Looks like a normal "fill in " of the polymer for the small XD's where the bigger XD's have a "cut out" here for the bigger take down lever .

My sc has it, it has to just be part of the molding process. I noticed it in the gun store, and saw that all of them that they had on display had it to.

No worries man! Just enjoy it!!!

On my 40 SC, its barely noticeable. I believe its just pin marks from the molding process.
