So I never ever thought I would be in the market for a 380. However, some recent events (not going into detail) have occurred and that has me thinking. I've CC'd the 9mm shield outside of work for almost 4 years now and love it. However, I need something smaller at work that I can keep on me. I mean CONCEALED and it will have to be a pocket carry in dress slacks. Is that possible to do with a 380 in a pocket holster or no?

I was thinking an LCP but then remembered Glock recently released the 42. Is there a big difference in size between the 2? Does anyone own and carry either and have you ever done it in dress slacks/suit pants? If it's not feasible then I guess I'll have to not carry and hope I'm not attacked. If it is something that can be concealed, and I mean not noticed, which 380 would be better out of the 2?

open to other suggestions. I would just think that there is not a 9mm small enough to hide in dress pants. I have no familiarity with any 380's. I did shoot a friends S&W Bodyguard once and it was terrible.

Sig P938. 9mm goodness in a very small package. Surprisingly soft shooting.

I have a Ruger LCP 380 in a pocket holster and have carried in dress pants once. Worked fine, and use it for deep carry. Jean's, cargo pants, and shorts.

Added Hoge over mold grip to help with purchase due to big samitch grabbing hands. Pistol shoots fine.

Ok, but how small? Smaller than a Shield? Small enough to wear in pocket of dress slacks without someone asking what's stuffed in my pocket?

    Colt Mustang Pocketlite/Sig P238.

If I were to get an itty-bitty .380, they're the only ones I would consider.

    The 232 is huge for a .380.

A lot of people like Kahrs, I'm not a fan, but it's an option.

Of course, I'm going to do make my usual pitch for a J-frame :D (oops; sounds like you want covert...Jframe might be a bit more of a...bulge)

I hear the Hogue is pretty much a mandatory accessory to keep it from jumping out of your hand.

Was looking at pictures online and it appears the LCP is one of the smallest. The Glock 42 looks like one of the largest, at least from what I'm looking at.
