Whats the best way to remove packing grease?

    I just purchased a new H&R pardner protector thats covered in thick packing grease, any suggestions on the best way to remove this?

    I used Remington Shotgun Cleaner on my Mosbberg 930 when I got it. Then used RemOil.

    Odd, I bought a Pardner Protector a few years ago, and it came out of the box almost dry...

    That said, when all else fails: Gun Scrubber

    Gasoline, or mix up a batch of Ed's Red.

    I go with non chlorinated brake cleaner or breakfree power blast.

    A non water base parts washer may work well if you have access to one. I would rinse the gun parts with RemOil afterwards

    Use a solvent, brake or carbruetor cleaner, then RemOil.
