    - I had to attend a free class offered by the local police, it was a 3 hour class and there was no shooting or testing required.... all you had to do was show up and they printed you a certificate and then i took that in and paid $33 (or somewhere near that) and waited about a month and a half and i got my approval and then all i had to do was go in and pay about $22 give or take a few bucks and they gave me my permit which is good for 5 years

im just cuious to what all of you had to do in order to get yours.

oh and you can also get one if you have taken hunters education or some other form of firearms training like the military or LEO. They also said that you can get one if you have been active in shooting competitions but im not sure of the exact requirements

    WA state

go into sheriffs office, get fingerprinted, pay $55.25
    wait 30 days
shows up in the mail and is good for 5 years.

    $32 renewal fee

I think its in the works that ccw are going to be national - like drivers licenses - given by your state but accepted by all.

    Went to local sheriff's office.
Filled out pistol permit request form.
They ran a background check and I went back after several days.
Paid $15 and received permit. Added $1 to have it laminated.
Continue to receive yearly renewal request in the mail.
Mail back w/ check and receive new permit in a few days.
