What are your thoughts about the Noreen BN36 (AR-10 chambered for .30-06, basically)

Saw this one, evidently it's pretty new. What do you think about this? I was originally thinking about getting a Rem 700 in 308 so I could share ammo with an AR-10. But if there's one out in 30-06, that's pretty interesting, especially given the relatively low price. 30-06 and 308 aren't hugely different in terms of cost, and I have been given to understand the 30-06 shoots a lot flatter. Thoughts? Has anyone handled one of these yet, at Shot Show, perhaps?

I never even heard of it, but whats the point? It would be a super oddball that shoots a round only slightly more powerful than the standard 308.
The 30-06 is less than 10% faster sending the same bullet down the barrel vs the 308, so how could it shoot "a lot flatter"

I'd look at different uppers for your AR10, such as 243 or 338Fed if you want flatter shooting.

I think it's a good idea. Variety is the spice of life, right. My only other thought is that it'll kick like a son-of-a-gun. Ouch!! Tell you the truth, if the price were right I'd look into this more.

Where would you find such a rifle?

Since my current .30 rifle is .30-06, that would be nice for caliber commonality.

Right now 308 ammo is hard to find, 30-06 is everywhere.
I wish I had an AR in 30-06 to shoot.

Off topic. This is why I changed my mind on a bolt gun in .308 to 30.06. I want to be able to practice with it. Not put it on the shelf till the ammo supply can play catch up.

On topic. Semi-auto 30.06? Yes, please. I'll take one.

I thought these looked interesting, and the price is pretty darn good, especially considering my other options are the LMT MWS or the GAP-10, which will both run me a little over 3K.
