I have a weird little dent on the polymer of my nine SC… It's been there since it was new.

It's not very deep, I don't think it's doing any harm at all, just kind of weird.

Just curious what you guys think… What caused this? Does anyone else have something like this?

Just in front of the take down?
Mine has that too. Thinking it must be normal.

Huh! Weird! I actually wasn't expecting anyone else to say they have that! I wonder what it is or caused it during Manu?

Maybe a clamp or something during assembly...

Well cool thanks guys that is good to know.

I saw it when I was looking at the shop before buying it but it was shallow and didn't look like it would affect operation in any way so I didn't really care but have been meaning to post just to see what you guys thought.

Lets name it the "I'm over thinking everything to do with my handgun mark".

    Good God man.
It is a processing mark in the molding of the polymer frame.
    Get over yourself..

If you want perfection, buy a Glock..

Get over myself? What do you even mean by that?

Your posts are constantly promoting Glocks. Why do you even come to this forum?

I feel you're over thinking things, maybe that is just MHO..
It is a mark in the molding process.
You could get some 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper and smooth it out if it really bothers you.

The Glock suggestion was a funny, hence the
Glock perfection, it's an advertising slogan, get it? tee hee.

I've been around this forum a long time.
I used to be an XD fan till I tired of the slop and spending $100 to make the trigger acceptable.:(

I like this forum and the majority of the members, past and present.
This is more of a general firearm forum, not an XD fan boy site.
If you don't believe that then check out all the sub-forums.
They range from non-XD handguns, 1911s, wheelguns, long guns, video gaming, cooking, political view, etc............

A member isn't required to be XD/XDm/XDs or go to hell fanboy like over on another unnamed *****talk forum.
I dare say a several of the members here don't even own an XD/XDm/XDs/HS2000 pistol.
    I like Glocks, so I'll recommend them..

    Good luck with your XD9sc..
I sold one of those too..
