I just hope it mounts more stable than the X5L. I love mine (X5L that is), but, I have yet to get it to not "wiggle" on my XD-45c.

awesome - I knew there had to be something better than the x2 on its way for all of the subs with rails. Any ideas on the strength of the light?

If its the same as the X5L I think thats rated at 100lumens contstant and 140lumens strobe. I don't know about blinding, but, in the dark about all you see is the light. At least that is what I saw when I tested it in the mirror.

How much shorter do you all think it is than the X5L? I picked up a X5L for my XDM 3.8" and it hangs over about an 1/8th to 3/16th. Not bad, especially compared to a TLR-2 or surefire.

To the guy that mentioned the rattle, is it side to side? Once the locking bolt was in and snugged up, I torqued the adjusting holes against the slot it lined up to on the rail. I have no issues with mine, very snug.

For those that have pm'd me on the X5L on a 3.8", here it is. I wonder how much shorter the subcompact version is.

I think the overall length itself is about 3/4" shorter, not sure on the rail length though. I would say the rail length is a good 1/2" difference, if not the whole 3/4" (comparing my XD9-SC to your picture).

OK, it hadn't occurred to me at the time I was typing that there was a compact version of that light. Common sense should have told me that if the light on the 3.8" fit flush (as the picture shows), that hopefully it would be shorter for the subcompact. Are they calling the compact version an "X5L compact", or is there another model number?
