My local wal-mart has just started selling the russian made TulAmmo.they have it in a variety of calibers at the usual cheap price.it is steel cased like wolf but seems to look a little better.i bought 100rnds of 9mm,.40,and .223.has anyone had any experience with any of this ammo since i have yet to get to fire any of it? the 9mm was $9.00 per box,the .40 was $12.98 and the .223 was $4.20.any input would be appreciated.

I've shot a bit of it, it's about like brown bear, seemed like it has more flyers than WWB. The 380 had a lot of failures in my wifes cobra but its really cheap, and has problems with half the stuff we feed it.

But for 9 a box, chew some and see what you think.

I have run the .223 through my AR. It worked just fine. No idea about how many fliers because my scope was fried.....everything was a flier that day. When I cleaned it, it didn't seem any dirtier than when I run nothing but PMC.

Tula is Wolf under a different label. If you like Wolf then you will like Tula.

I saw that also at our Wally's World a few weeks ago, the guy behind the counter said they have been selling it for a month or so. He said steel cases, you don't what it, as he knows I reload.

I've read nothing but shady reviews about this ammo. I'll stick to American Eagle by Federal...

You know, if it shoots it shoots. I mean you are not going to use it as SD ammo. Its just for the range. So go ahead and give it a try, maybe its dirty, but I dont notice a huge difference between it and federal I get from WM. You clean your gun after a range trip anyways, so whats the big deal.

Shoot away and save some money!!

A few things that I've came across. One guy has told me it's a bullet, shoot it. Another guy told me it's steel and not to. I bought 50 rounds of 9mm last week. It surprised me because I wasn't shooting to well with Winchester and slapped tulammo in the magazine right after and was dead on target. No problems with it. Bought 150rounds for my buddies xd45 lol and it was fine.

I stick to Winchester and in the future if money is tight I'll buy some

I know of way too many guys that have fired 10's of thousands of steel cased rounds through AR's to even worry about it. The same people also say not to shoot reloads.

if you go to the gun range where I go you see nothing but steel cased rds on the ground I dont know if they were being used in AR's but there are thousands of them on the ground.

I know alot of guys that say that TulAmmo is fine and shoots like anything else. It's very dirty and can have impressive muzzle flash. I will never buy it again unless it ends up like $5 a box or something.

This thing jammed in my xdm and it took me about 20 min to get it out.

In fact, I found 11 bad rounds out of 200. They were all the same lot number so obviously a bad batch, but still. I'll throw in the few extra bucks and get Federal or WWB FMJ's from now on. Just my .02.
