All the ball busting aside, Springfield will give you the same answer we are, it'll take some fiddling around with OAL to maybe, MAYBE get these bullets to function.

Hands down, a round nose bullet would be much more functional.

    Excellent answer.
My XDS shoots 200 grain lead SWC, 200 grain plated flat nose, 185 grain JHP and 230 grain round nose. The first two are my reloads. It is much more sensitive to only then my 1911s however I am impressed how well it feeds different shapes bullets.

The latest Blue Press from Dillon had an excellent article on reloading plated bullets. Great tips on OAL and crimp.

Just my thoughts---I agree with most that the round pictured is the issue.
But, not the bullet profile. I have two XDS 3.3 in 45 acp, that NEVER have failed to feed with the 200gr lswc,(H&G style) with having the oldest gun 4 1/2 years and thousands of my reloads through it. I use a oal of 1.25 along with a light target load. The gun pictured looks well oiled, so I would guess it is oal and/or the casting of the bullet. Good luck

I agree completely with justashooter2a, the "blink" test is the way to go. I have an XDS 45 and I shoot laws and it took some tweaking to get it right. I had to adjust the last two stages on my press to get it right. No issues since. I did have an issue with it going into battery, but found a thread that recommended removal of the rubber insert in the extractor spring and that has fixed that issue.
