Here's a new one. Went to Target today. Needed a bunch of odds and ends. My dad asked me to pick him up a bottle of Dayquil. Got to the checklane and the checker asked for ID - You're supposed to be 18 - I'm in my mid-40s, but 100 percent check isn't that unusual here. No, she wants to scan it in to the computer and tells me it's "State Law." She got kind of snippy, so I told her, "I know it's not your fault, but if you work for Nazi's, people will think you're a storm trooper." I left over $100 worth of stuff on the counter and walked out. Went over to Fred Meyer, where the checker simply commented that I "looked 18" and went on - the computer did flash for an ID check. Has anybody else had this problem?
