Any tube should work. BMX / mountain bike tubes are a bit thicker. If you just want a bit of grip...try something from a road bike. You can stop by any bike shop and they'll likely give you an old one to try if you don't have one of your own. I've used several sized 700 35 with good luck.

Ok thanks I look into that trying to get use to XDS I had about a month and half. Not same as the XDM COMPACT MOD2. I have had an shot regularly for last year. The XDS is 45 4" barrel mod 2 is 9mm 3.3 barrel. whole different ball game shooting.

I've had bad luck with (Pachmayr) sliding up and or twisting out of the " Grip Zone". Might just be me I dunno. .

After reading this thread, I decided to order the Talon rubber. Looks like exactly what I am looking for. I will report back once I have it installed.

the way the Talon grip is designed on the back, it gets jacked up after shooting a few rounds. They get warmed up from your hand and move around. I tried the PRP grip tape and it is holding up better. The problem is the rough texture on the grip. No grip tape is working good at the moment because Talon and PRP are going for looks and not function. the grips need to be solid in the back area.

It's not just you,the Pachmayr grip for the XDs rode up on mine also.
Seems to be the nature of the grip sleeve for those models.

It may be different for the finger groove grips that fit the double stack XD & XDm guns.
