So i recently saw a Tactical Machining Lower on Gunbroker and was wondering if anybody has used one before?

They come with a lifetime guarantee and seem pretty nice

    Here is a picture:

If anybody has used one, what is your opinion on it. I have been in the market for a lower to use for my AR build and am hoping to keep it somewhat on the cheaper side at all possible.(But i dont want to skimp on quality)

You can still buy 3 Essential Arms lowers a week every week for $110 each with TC finish 2-3 week shiptime.

Never heard of that brand ... what are they going for?

They are priced at 159.99, but they are selling a few on Gun Broker for 100.00.

I looked at the EA website. I think im gonna go with them. Great prices and a lot of people say they have quality stuff.

My only problem is, do i get a high shelf or low shelf? Tried to find out what it meant but couldn't get a straight answer.

I have seen these up close and personal....and the materials and machining are second to none.

These guys are trying to keep them affordable so the average joe can build an AR.

I recommend them highly. In fact...I will be picking a few up myself.

I was looking at Essential Arms also and was wondering if you gents have a recommended barrel manufacturer and place to buy them? I am just looking for a compatible barrel with the EA upper for home protection and just general shooting in 16 inches with a rail gas block.

Any AR15 barrel should do you just fine. Right now I want a White Oak Armament barrel - 18" SS Mid gas SPR

I hear model1 has ER Shaw barrels in stock. Really your barrel choice is going to depend on your intended use. For a 16" plinker you have many options.

High shelf is a way to insure it is harder to convert to full auto, as you need the low shelf along with the additional hole for dropping in a full auto trigger group. %99.99 of us get along fine with the high shelf. I wouldn't worry about it.
