Unfortunately not in New Hampshire. They are building a 70,000sf facility in Arkansas. The reason for the move...cost of power. The power for Sig in New Hampshire is over 12 cents per kilowatt per hour. In Arkansas it is a little over 5 cents per KWH. Sig employs 1400 people in New Hampshire. It would have been nice to add these jobs here. Well, good for the Arkansas job seekers. Hopefully the new Republican Gov. can make some inroads into lowering our (nearly highest in the nation) power costs.

Probably cheaper labor for them too...

Beretta has moved, you'll likely see more gun companies come this way like the auto industry has.

Which way did New Hampshire swing on the presidential vote? Trump or Clinton? Some of the state in New England are getting real weird about guns, too. Maybe they're expanding down south because they believe the "atmosphere" in New Hampshire might be getting toxic in the next few years.

Clinton won it. These firearm companies are getting smart and planning ahead. Liberal leaders love taxes and regulations, especially on those industries they hate and they could make it very difficult for them to make a profit and stay in business. Look at what they did to the coal industry. I certainly can't blame SIG. Cost of power is a very significant expense for a manufacturing company. A more central location certainly does not hurt either.

Lots of companies are fleeing blue states. I was just reading about a firearm-related company that's moving from CA to AZ, can't remember who it was. It sucks for the employees of a relocating company, but they have to do what's in the business' best interests.

Hostile territory is just that, hostile. If you can't even sell your own product(s) in the state you pay to be in, F em. I'm surprised that SA is still in IL.

The company is APEX Tactical, the biggest name in the game for aftermarket S&W M&P parts. And we are very happy to have them here in AZ. I have little sympathy for the employees that choose to stay. I wised up years ago and left commiefornia and my life has been infinitely better since I did that.
