I'm new to the AR platform. I have a complete LMT 16" with a carbine length gas system. Upon inspection, the spent brass is a little beat up on the bottom around the primer, and they also show a small nick on the side of the casing. LMT tells me it has a carbine buffer from the factory. I'm not worried about reloading, but after some research think it might be beneficial to install a heavier buffer to slow down the cycling. This may add to longevity and reliability. Worst case if it does nothing I'm out a $30 buffer. Carbine buffer 3 ounces. H buffer 3.8 ounces H2 buffer 4.7 ounces H3 buffer 5.6 ounces I have a standard weight AR bolt and am leaning towards the H2 buffer. Will be placing the order tonight. Any input or experience to share?
