Hi to all, just another newbie here. My story seems to be similar to most others, with a little twist. 2-3 weeks of comsumer education. Spending time in LGS's handling different guns. Spending time trying to get the wife to do the same so we can make a purchase together. Finally at a local gun show she had time to go with me. She must have handled 60 different pistols. I only handled the XD/XDM's because I knew that was what i wanted. She finally looked at me said she wanted that black XD9mm 4" barrel. I looked at the price and was shocked, it was $30 less than at LGS. So I said do you have a pair and they produced a 2nd XD9mm 4" barrel that was OD green with a black slide (just what I wanted, it was like a dream) so I said we will take them both so they knocked off another $5 each. Then here is the kicker, she had for got her pocket book, she did not have her DL so I ended up purchasing both under my name. It took 3 days to find ammo and as soon as I got it home i took mine out and run the new off of it. It took 3 weeks for her to find the time for us to go run the new off of hers. She is in love. We are signed up for pistol orientation courses this weekend. Hers is designed for women. Then the next weekend we will take our CCL course.
