Picked up a Smith & Wesson Shield in .40 today What a great little gun, feels absolutely fantastic in my hand, can't wait to clean it and get it to the range. These things have been as hard to find as AR's or even the XD-S

Nice I just grabbed the exact same thing the other day. They were out of 9mm so I picked up the last .40 they had. Feels great in the hand, I love the look of it and hear nothing but good "reviews" of it.

Haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet....soon though.....very soon.

I've been looking for one since they were introduced! Let us know how the range session goes.

Nice. I have been looking everywhere for one in 9mm but I haven't even seen one person yet. Hopefully they will start to come around. Enjoy your new pistol!

I've had the 40 in my hands a few times at the LGS but I'm looking for the 9mm version. That's a unicorn in Ohio.

Congrats! I was to the LGS today and they had about four of them but didn't have any 9mm they said that they order some. It did feel good in my hand and I almost got it but I stop myself.

The beauty of the .40 in the M&P line is you can purchase a 9mm barrel and drop it right in. Works flawlessly...some have said that the .40 mags work with the 9mm round but I went and bought some 9mm mags as well

My experience is with the 9mm Shield. They are excellent pistols. Hopefully, the XDs in 9mm will be as good. ;)

Ok well envy is an understatement. I have only seen two 9mm shields. I am on two lists for a 40. If someone can find one and is willing to tell me where I would be greatly appreciative. I liked the feel, but I want one caliber. Also I refuse to pay the 700 they wanted for a 449 firearm.

    Seriously though, it looks amazing.
