Im looking for a long barrel (>6") 22lr for cheap target shooting.
Anyone have any thoughts on the Mark 4 vs the Buckmark. Mark 4 is more expensive, but its easier to clean.
Anyone have hands on with both?

Yes and I went in to buy the Mk IV. Then I put the Buckmark in my hand. Fit my hand so much better. Takedown, for cleaning, is really easy. I like the look of the Ruger more, but the way it fit my large hand was the clincher. Mine is the Buckmark Lite URX 5 1/2"

Buckmark by a mile. I've got 2 and they're flawless shooters with much better triggers and more accurate. Like the Rugers, love the Buckmark.

    Third vote for the Buckmark.

I used to have a MkIII...but the Buckmark is a better pistol.

And it really isn't that hard to take down. You just need the wrench that comes with the gun...

    Buckmark.

The Victory with an aftermarket barrel tempts me though...

Glad to hear Buckmark. There are a few stories I saw on the net about how it gets dirty faster than the ruger. I'm not sure how that would be possible. I've shot the MK3 w/6.88 barrel and it's nice, but Buckmark feels better to hold. Thanks for info. Buckmark goes on list.

Any blowback, especially a .22lr, will get filthy quick.

I'm glad this thread came up because I've been thinking about a .22LR pistol because shooting my Marlin rifle gets boring quickly. A Buckmark should fix that.

Buckmark or I'd try a SW Victory if you can find one at a good price. I've heard nothing but good about them.
