Remove a AR handguard without a delta tool

    Thought I would post. I found myself without a delta tool, so I took two toothbrushes, wrapped a rubber band around them and got the sucker off!

    Yeah there are a ton of tricks to move the delta ring and pull it off. I have seen people use a big pair of channel lock pliers to push the ring down to remove the handguard. I just spent 8 bucks on the tool and now everyone is like hey can I use that LOL.

    Tool? I just used my hands and removed it half at a time

    But yep, I just use my hands as well... neat tip though.

    Or just be a man and pull it down with your hand. Some are tough at first...my lmt defender was a complete ***** I won't lie, but it loosened up a bit, and other rifles I have used are not as bad,

    Must be making them a LOT different from the last time I was around them.... Never knew there was a tool or a reason for one.

    Great job with the High Speed solution though.

    Nope exactly the same but not everybody has had to dis and ass an m16 with a DI screaming and generally hazing the crap out of them.

    i just use my hands, but my aftermarket mi rail is alot harder to get it seated, its a real tight fit compared to the stock ones.

    neat trick, i thought about getting the tool but then i just tried it and was pretty easy in my opinion but everyone is different

    Nice idea, they can be a pain in the shorts if you don't have a helper w/o a tool

    Who uses a tool? I know i was not issued one in the army so i did the manly thing and used my HANDS! they are not hard to get off after the first few times. dont waste your money on the tool
