I have seen some pics of guns that have their polymer frames a different colour than the stock colours. I was wondering if these were painted, or if some other method of coloring was used. (as an example, I think we have all seen the pink digie cammo XD)

You can get any external airbursh kit from a hobby store. I got mine from Hobby Lobby for $50.00 it comes with all the connections for the air cans or to hook to a compressor.

Duracoat and Gun Coat and Cerakote can all take up to 30 days to cure properly. I use Moly resin for the coating I am doing. It cures over night for the air cure and in the oven for the thermal cure.

Dont you guys know about Krylon Fusion spraypaint...

Seriously, I have a .22lr that I sis the whole gun. The visible part of the bolt, the reciver, the barrel, the tock, the mags, everything.

It had held up great, even to hoppes#9

Now I did not consider this a perminant long term thing, but it has laster a couple (maybe 3) years, and the gun does go inthe woods hunting too.

wow, If krylon fusion works on the polymer frame I'm all for that. Truth be told I had wanted an OD green xd, but the only xd my dealer had the day I went to buy it was the all black, and me being me knew that if I had waited for one to come in the money would have been spent on something else, lol...So if I can just grab some olive drab krylon that would be awesome.

Id love to see pics of peoples guns that they have painted the polymer on.

This is the gun that made me start this thread. I have some WWII green duracoat on its way for my frame. what did you do to prep the frame? and I know its only been a couple days since you duracoated your gun, but how well has it held up so far?
