Just saw today that PA will no longer recognize Florida non-resident conceal carry permits.

"If you are currently a resident of Pennsylvania only and have a CCP from
the state of Florida, your Florida permit will no longer be recognized in
Pennsylvania 120 days from the date of this Notice, or on June 8, 2013."

From what I read, to close the loophole for those people who live in Philadelphia and don't have a PA CCP.

Who cares what it was sent from. I pay the phone bill.

She is stupid! PA has reciprocal agreements with many other States. Here's the deal, in PA you can open carry w/o a license, except in Philthy, where you need a License To Carry Firearms (LTCF) to either OC or CC. PA does not issue a CCW, CCP or whatever other terms are out there. No where on the LTCF does it say concealed.

Kathleen Kane, our not so wonderful new states attorney general, closed what she calls the 'Florida Loophole" She thinks that people are going around the PA laws to get a permit in Florida that is good here. This is a bunch of dog doodie. FL is more expensive, you get background checked for both and you have to get finger printed for it. It's crazy to think that this skirting around the laws. It's a permit that is reciprocal with more states, so it would be a little better for a lot of people. I have a PA permit, and it's not recognized in De, which is where I spend a lot of time. Either way it's only keeping the honest law abiding citizen straight. It's not going to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, just make it crappier for example everyone else.

My suggestion for anyone that has a Florida non resident permit that carries in PA without a PA permit would be to look into getting a nonresident permit from Maine. It seems to be good in PA and De which is a plus. It seems to be only $60 which is not bad. I will be applying soon myself.

The worse part of the all is that she got an award from the city of Filthadelphia today partly because of this.

    Ok, I'm done ranting.

Sent from my brain to yours.

I doesn't need to say "concealed" on the permit, It goes without saying that it's a CCW. Nearly every state calls it something different.
