I picked up a pack of five Truglo fiber optic rods. Each was 5" long and in five colors. The colors are red, ruby red, green, yellow, and light orange.

The pack has a stock number of TG05C and is 0.060" in dia.

I put the orange rod in the front sight and it is much more visible in all levels of light. I was able to hold all five colors side-by-side and I choose to use the orange. I can see it better in dim light. It doesn't disappear in the dim light like the red and green do. In dim light it acts like a regular white dot. I can see it because it is light in color. I'll post photos when I can.

Please do! I was wondering which colors worked better in low light.

Here you go! I used a black and tan background in normal room light (4 X 60 watt incandescent bulbs).

I switch between the two colors every 6 months or so. My brain seems to get use the color and I find the front site faster when I make the switch.

    Good Luck And Be Safe!!!

You just need the rods. It only takes a couple of minutes to swap them out and there's some simple instructions in the owners manual. I'm going to order the Truglo's now... Thanks for the thread OP.
