P -Mag go ahead and pay the $2 for the window. They will pay for themselves over and over by not breaking and bending the feed lips double feeding your gun. There is a reason everyone switches to P-mags cause they are just good.

    +1 ----

I tried a few different types, but am loading up on Pmags as well. You can also find them for about $10 each for 30 round Pmags at places like Cheaper than Dirt and Palmetto State when they run sales.

I have a few Al mags from BCM, but primary own P-Mags. Some without the window, but most with. I have them in both 30 and 20 round counts.

I run P-Mags and D&H mags. Both are quality and have good deals on them from time to time at various places.

The Mag level window is necessary but you will love it. Its a comfort thing to be able to do a quick twist of your rifle and now what you have left. The military told me to count my shots and I told them if I wanted to count I wouldn't be in the military.

I like P-Mags; got lots of 'em. Also have tons of C-Products, Brownells, and old Labelle, Adventureline, etc surpuls that I;ve upgraded with Magpul followers, etc.

However, the mags the are ready to roll for all of my AR's are the HK steel mags.

    I prefer 'em.

C-Products mags work as well as any other, and already come with an anti-tilt follower. The only thing about C-Products mags is they won't work with stripper clips (the groove doesn't go all the way to the top for the adapter to slide onto).

I stocked up on a lot of them about a year and a half ago (they were the best deal at the time, ~$4 cheaper than any other mag I could find). Since C-Products got bought out, they are becoming more scarce and rising in price.
44mag.com is where I used to buy a bunch. They still have 20-rounders in stock for $10 each (and free shipping).
    44MAG.com - CProducts

(the good thing about these C-Products 20-rounders is they use the normal 30-rounder follower and floorplate [unlike the straight 20-rounders], so you can interchange parts more easily if something breaks.)

That said, you can usually find deals in the $10 range. The link you provided to AIMsurplus for the D&H mags with the magpul followers - I'd jump on that. I bought a few similar ones from Bravo Company for $10 a while back, and they are great. Those ones will work with stripper clips.

I have two Pmags, and they works great, but for stocking up on several mags quickly, I suggest something along the lines of those D&H one's you listed (keep in mind, upgrading to magpul followers yourself runs ~$2 per follower, and you definitely want an anti-tilt follower).

Tapco AR mags fit my hands great but they are not very functional. Have had numerous double feeds and failure to feeds. not to mention if you keep them loaded, the slightest bump dislodges about 10 rounds.

I've bought the magpul p-mags from slickguns.net a couple of times. Never had a problem with ordering/shipping. They are not always available when you want more mags, but definitely the best prices when they have them in stock. There is a guy who usually posts something here on xdtalk when they have back in stock.
