Greetings everyone. I have a bit of exciting news! After seeing how much interest and success the "XD window decal" got, I had another idea: does the forum have an official logo? I've been in email contact with Kermee (our Site Admin / Owner) regarding an official forum logo. He mentioned that there was a contest for it a while back but he didn't recall what ever happened to it (if anyone can point me to that thread, then that would be great). The current "logo" is a pseudo-logo for the forum which has a copyrighted image from Springfield. Ugh. I don't even want to talk about SA copyrights anymore. I've learned all about them from the XD window decal project. Kermee has given me permission to post this thread and to design an official logo for the forum, given the following "restrictions": 1. Kermee will have final approval on the logo. 2. Kermee will have the rights to use the logo on the forum (or other ways) as he sees fit (within reason). And the best part: 3. Kermee wants a portion of any "forum logo" sales to go back into the forum. Sort of like profit sharing. These sales could include bumper stickers, window decals, T-shirts, whatever we can think of!! So, with this new line of forum logo stuff, a portion (to be determined) of the proceeds will go directly BACK into the support of the forum. So, I need everyone's input of this. This is our forum's logo we're talking about. It will be a graphic representation of everything our forum stands for. And, keep in mind: we can NOT use Springfield Armory's name or XD logo in our logo, as these items are copyrighted by SA. Other than that, I think we're good to go. As before, let me hear about your thoughts, ideas, any graphics you might want to see, colors, etc. I think this is an exciting project, and I'm honored to have the "blessing" of the owner to do this. Let's create a proud and professional logo for the whole Internet to see! We're already way ahead of the other gun forums in character, knowledge, friendship, acceptance, and many other ways. Let's get the message across in our logo, too! Good luck! Now bring on the ideas!
