I used to carry an older Gerber folder but wanted an assisted opening knife. Picked up this Benchmade Barrage and I really like it so far.

Nice choice. I almost went with a Barrage, but decided on the Griptillian.

I really like the Griptillian. If I was not retired and on a budget I would pick one up

Not sure of your budget, but you can get a grip for $70. Don't look at retail.

I've been trying to talk myself into a new knife (can never have enough lol). I've never owned a Benchmade mostly because the price has pushed me away, and i've been sold on Kershaw for years. But i guess what im getting at is what Benchmade model is a great daily driver?

Griptilian is probably the most popular. Where in Colorado are you, trent?

I have to say I too was a complete ZT guy (not really kershaw lol). I own most of the ZT series of folders and decided to give another brand a shot. I picked up the Griptilian with the thumb hole in the blade. Ever since I have got it, it has not left my side. I love the axis lock and how easy they open and close. I will say you can't compare this knife by any means to any of the ZT they would win hands down but for a decent priced blade it is has become my EDC blade.

I love my Benchmade. Thought about buying one for awhile, finally bought one to replace my old SOG Trident folder. Haven't looked back. Gets carried daily, stays sharp, works like a charm.

I carry a Spyderco Manix2, bought it from Dvor for $90. Couldn't be happier with it.
