I still have a OD green houge grip coming, and some grip extensions,

In case anyone is wondering the scope mount was about 12 bucks and works very well. More of a toy than anything it does help accuracy and muscle memory in shooting accurately with both eyes open.

The mount is quite sturdy and I cant remember the store but youll see dozens of these on ebay and elsewhere if you search for pistol scope mount. The glock one is about 30 bucks aned has to be modified to fit the xd , this one is cheap and all aluminum so its ok. I will report back later to see how it holds up over time.

I have never seen a mount like that. For the price it looks like it would be fun to play around with. That OD looks great!

So I today I was shooting and I must have not tightened that mount that well, it flew off and broke the optics I had on there. Note to self tighten the mount really tight

What kind of holster do you draw from with that thing on the XD? Just wondering since you said it helps develop muscle memory....drawing and presenting is the muscle memory I find needs the most help.

While it is certainly an inexpensive and removeable method for mounting a red dot sight experience tells me it isn't going to last very long. There is no support in the back and it is going to flex a lot causing it break over time. I am not aware of anyone making a well designed scope mount for the XD at this time but somebody probably will. On the other hand for we do a lot of these style mounting's but it's not reverseable. This one is on a Glock but we do the same thing on XD's.[IMG]

Looks similar to the one for the Glocks except the Glock one also mounts at the rear through the trigger pin to get tripod support.

Like I said this one is on a Glock ( a dirty Glock) but the result is the same for the XD.[IMG][IMG]

I saw a light rail mount version that went up both sides.

Was made for a Glock but is really really solid. I bought one and am having a 3D person model it for extrusion.

I spoke to a Machine shop about removing some metal to make it fit my fatter 45.

Do not let the airsoft part fool you. It is solid aluminum.

I will post once it is finished.
