since we dont have a rimfire section i guess the chatterbox will do

here is my new 10/22 pistol, the form 1 to convert this to an SBR has been signed by the local LEO and will head on its way to the ATF some time this week

its a zimmerman arms carbine receiver
    kidd black bolt
    kidd black cocking assembly
    kidd 10" threaded barrel
    kidd 2 stage with a 3oz/6oz trigger
    tactical innovations TAC-65

once the form 1 gets back i am planning on a ACE folding stock

i havent decided on what optics it will have

"Other long gun talk" or "NFA" would have been the appropriate section.

As it is, I think it is ugly (your gun, not mine.). But I will stay tuned for folding stock.

it does look a little funny right now but it will look much better after i paint the barrel black and the trigger. they wanted 16.95 for a black trigger instead of red so i figured i can put up with the red trigger until i take the trigger group apart to clean, i just wanted to get it put together for now. and once the stock goes on then it will probably look normal.

as for the other sections....its not a long gun or a NFA item yet

I will stay tuned for the new stock. I like ace stocks.

It is a tad ugly now but it will straighten up I'm sure.

I kind of agree... I went back and forth with my 10/22 as far as how to customize, decided to leave it more of a long rifle look and just actually buy a real AR-15;)

I think it will look cooler once you have a stock. It just looks very square in my eyes. I think the red trigger actually looks kind of cool.

As for the correct location to post this I don't think it really matters I was just bustin' your balls a little. :)

I believe that you have onces and pounds mixed up, I cannot fathom any maker offering a 3 ounce trigger, the liability exposure of producing a trigger this light is huge. BTW, I've shot with a 1.5 lbs. trigger and felt it wasn't safe, I could barely feel my finger on the trigger before it released. Personally I find a 3 lbs. trigger ideal in a target gun, for carry something in the range of 4 to 5 lbs. is a bit more comforting.

As for your SBR, it doesn't matter what's shooting it, the 22LR is plain cheap fun. A bit too tacticool for my tastes and SBR's are banned in Michigan, but I'll bet it's been fun putting it together and I have no doubt it's a blast to shoot. As an SBR I'd recomend equipping it as a CQB and put a holosight on it.

nope it is a 3oz trigger.

KID Two-stage Trigger [trigger] - $289.95 : Kidd Innovative Design, Why be average?

its a two stage and i have mine set at 3oz in the first stage and 6oz in the second. i could go 3oz/3oz but then i wouldnt be able to feel the second stage.

if im doing anything except benchrest shooting i can adjust it up to 2.5lbs

as for the tacticoolness of it, one of the main reasons i chose this receiver was that it doesnt have the single hold down point that the ruger action has which has to be torqued down the same each time to get excelent groups. this platform is just solid since the receiver is basically the entire gun. with the single stock screw the action isnt very stable and you pretty much have to bed the action if you want to squeeze that last bit of accuracy out. with this gun thats not an issue.

im going to put a fore grip on it once i get my stamp and may some back up iron sights and a scope but other then that the rails wont be used

plus i have an ar15 SBR but its expensive to shoot. with this i can shoot all day for cheap plus with the suppressor its a ton of fun
