I see pimped out 10/22s on here every day and I'm wondering... That's all out there for the Marlin 795? I can never find much with a Googdle search, I have the Dragunov stock, but I wouldn't mind a machine turned bolt, bull barrel (longer than 18"?), and perhaps a more tactical sniper stock that doesn't look like a knock off Dragunov...?

Not sure about the 795, but I haven't found much for my 60. I just want a decent thumb hole stock.

If you want something accurate and dependable, get the Marlin. If you wanted something to make 'tacticool' you should have gotten the 10/22. This is what I have learned.

I have 2 Model 795s here. One is mine, and I've made it into a reasonably tacticool sniper with the use of my own ingenuity and some Weaver rail... And a nice scope that fits the scale of the rifle. The other one is my wife's and is bone stock down to the lack of scope. Hell, it's in a box that is wrapped in polka dot paper. She gets it tomorrow or Sunday. These things are RELIABLE even with a bent mainspring...

Yeah, you're right on about the lack of stuff. Just hoping SOMEONE knows of something.... I did see a guy had silenced his on youtube. Was pretty cool looking actually.

This is about as tacticool as I can really get with it without the Dragunov stock...

If you really want to pimp out a rifle, you have to get a 10/22.
I did a bit of searching for you and came up with this.
    Ramline I think:

    Here's a model 60 sporting a Boyd stock:

Looks like a standard 795 with nice glass:

    This guy made his own:

I think the coolest thing you could do is make your own. Here's an example of a home made stock on a Marlin bolt action. Get creative with your old stock and some fiberglass and go to town.

This last one is a Numrich, Marlin model 70 stock. But it fits 795 as well.

    Holy crap, thanks!

And yes, these things are ACCURATE. LOVE mine. SO glad I picked it instead of a 10/22, but I do like to pimp things out to a degree...

All it take are some tools and a 2x8.

My understanding is that just about any Mod 60, 70, 75, or 995 stock will fit a 795 with some mods. Boyd's makes some beautiful thumbhole target stocks. I believe you can also buy a wood 995 stock from Numrichs.

My 795 has Tech Sights and a USGI sling for use at Appleseed. For an extended bolt handle, I put a turn of duct tape around the factory handle and then press fit a .40 S&W shell over it. It has so far lasted a couple thousand rounds.

Personally, I am reluctant to spend much money on a $100 gun. But the Tech Sights improve the gun so much that it is well worth it.

This is my Marlin 795 with the following add ons:
Nikon 3x7 Prostaff Scope with Weaver See Through Rings
    Williams Fire Sights
Dip Technologies Alluminum Trigger Guard & Trigger Kit (Marlin has to get rid of that factory plastic p.o.s.)
    Shooters Ridge 25 Round Magazine
    Harris Bipod Clone 6"-9"
    Blackhawk! Sling Rings
I also painted the black synthetic stock with a plastic bonding army green paint.

It shoots better than my 10/22 and I have enjoyed the challenge of finding parts for this gun.

I just traded a pair of Mod 60 sights for a Mod 70 stock. The model 70 is the predecessor to the 795 being a detachable mag fed semi auto. Because the 70 did not have the bolt release lever the stock needs to be opened up to fit it. Also the trigger guard is different to the stock needs to be inletted to fit the 795 trigger guard. This would be more difficult with a model 60 stock but it is doable. Took me about 15 minutes to drill out the excess wood and then sand it to size with a sanding drum on a dremel tool.
