My first gun, an XD-9 Service, is a nice pistol. But since then I bought an XD-45 Service, and I've found I shoot that gun much better than the -9. It's not a problem with the gun--I've found the larger dimensions of the -45 just fit my hand better for whatever reason. Was at the range this pm and it's incredibly easy to hold the sight on target with the -45, but much worse with the 9mm. I've been looking for a way to at least semi-permanently increase the 9's grip girth to approximate the -45. I'd tried a Hogue grip which was ok, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I'd also seen that Dan at Powder River Precision does a grip reduction with a nice stippling effect (http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/general-hs2k-sa-xd-talk/128527-grip-xd.html#post2100906), but that's a grip reduction, not an increase. To bad there's not a way to increase it. Anyone have a good idea for how to bring that 9mm grip up to about the dimensions of the -45? It's driving me nuts how much better I shoot that -45 than the 9mm.
