I'm looking for some inexpensive brass cased 9mm.
My local walmart prices have gone up to $10.50 for a box of 50. I'm looking at picking up 500 rounds, possibly 1,000 if the price is right. Hoping to find something for under $9.50 per box AFTER shipping. Anyone seen any deals out there recently?

    It's good to want things.

About the best you're going to find is Aguila from AIM for $190/case before shipping.

If you want cheaper, reload or buy steel.

I never heard of $9.50 / 50 AFTER shipping for brass case. Maybe $10-$10.50. You are proably going to get a better deal if you look around your area, since shipping can really jack up the price.

Thanks guys. Locally all the prices have gone way up. Walmart used to be $9.50, then shot up to $11.97 and recently came back down to $10.50. That's the cheapest I can find regularly. Occasionally a sale come up dropping some down to $9.50ish but thats rare. I'll have to look into that BVAC Knightslugger, thanks.

Watch for Dicks Sporting Goods to run a sale on Remington UMC for $9.98 a box. If you spend $50, you will get a survey coupon on the bottom of your receipt for $10 off your next $50 purchase.

Do the survey, takes about 3 minutes. Next time in, buy 5 boxes, that is just shy of $50. Throw in something like a pack of swivels to get it over $50, and you just bought 250 rounds for just over 40 bucks.

Take the survey on this purchase and do it again. You can get it down to nearly $8 a box, but it takes a little work and multiple trips, but there is no shipping charge.

Their 9.98 sale is rare. They often have UMC on sale for 11.98 a box. At this price, you can get 200 rounds for about $43 which includes tax.

Slowly building up my ammo dump this way.

You are worried about saving $10?!?! Just buy the ammo. Now if that is your weeks shooting supply, then you need to be buying case lots for best price.

you have any local commercial reloaders? I'm currently paying $0.15/ round + credit for my brass. But my guy has come up with a new bullet/load that's going to increase my costs :( But, damn those bullets are crazy accurate!

Yep. I worry about every dollar I don't have to spend or can divert to a better spend. Why pay more if you don't have to? To some folks on this board, it does make a difference, and they can't afford to buy in bulk. I'm simply offering an alternative to save 20% on a $50 purchase.

Like I said, for me it is a way to slowly build up my ammo dump in storage. It is not what I shoot during the week. I've done about 30 of these. $300 is nothing to sneeze at.

As your signature says "You don't become a better shooter unless you can shoot more & you don't shoot more unless you can do it for less".

Everyone has a different affordability point. $10 = 50 more rounds that someone can practice with.

If you`re buying local its hard to beat Wally World

Only way to get it cheaper is to buy in bulk online or start reloading

My local walmart just got in some 100 rounds boxes of federal champion for 19.97/box.
Its two loose pack boxes inside a larger box. Really hope they continue to stock this ammo.

Sounds like this company has a bunch of former employees of USA Ammo. They have really good prices, i'd be interested to hear reviews on their ammo.

Cheaper Than Dirt - America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter

that place has a ton of stuff cheap. as far as ordering bulk ammo, your talking about saving a little.

at my walmart, winchester 9mm for the 100 value pack is right about 23$

    so at 5 cases im spending about 125 after taxes. 500 rounds = $125x2 = 1000 rounds for $250.

cheaper than dirt sells 1000 rounds for 180 plus shipping. shipping to where i live was 30$.

so saving 40 dollars and having to wait for the ammo, i guess you could put it buy 8 cases get 2 free if you order, haha.
