We have a thread to list problems with your xds and a thread to list rds without problems so how about one to list the discomforts you may encounter.
Say does your trigger finger get banged up or hurt, Slide bit, does the web of your hand take a beating.

Well you get the Idea lets hear your stories.

I have only shot 200 rounds through mine so far , mix of ball and hollow points and I think its a real joy to shot , so no discomfronts at all for me.

I have 250+ thru the XDS. I find I have to wear a band aid on the trigger finger. The last outing I did not and came home with a good size blood blister on it. I hope that changes as the gun wears in a bit more. Still like the gun however. It is a keeper and goes where I go and will do so even more when I receive my R Grizzle Leather High Country holster in a few weeks.

480 rounds so far, today (105 rounds) is the first time I don't have a small blister on my trigger finger. I'm not sure what is getting broken in...the gun or me. So as of today, no issues. I really like shooting this gun.

My only complaint is that I can't get my whole hand on the grip with the flush mags, but the 7 rounder mags it more comfortable at the range.

My only discomfort is when I run out of ammo. I found an easy fix to this, though. Just carry a few extra boxes to the range.

I get a rub spot on the second knuckle of my right thumb.

    *Edit*
After going to the range again, I find that my XDs no longer rubs on my thumb at all when I shoot it correctly. I wasn't locking my elbow before. After locking my elbow, I can say there is no discomfort whatsoever when shooting my XDs.

I don't think I have ever shot more than 70 rounds through it at any one time, I have over 450 (I stopped keeping count at 450) through it now and no sores or blisters or malfuctions or anything to report.
If it starts hurting I would stop shooting til the next day or next week. I don't EVER see this being my Zombie gun, I have others much better suited to that scenerio, if the chit hit the fan I'd only have 11 rounds on me for this gun anyway and if I were shooting IDPA or whatever I would use another gun.

My pinky gets abused 'cuz I force it on what should be part of the grip. Blister on pad of trigger finger. Sore hands, 'cuz I'm a crotchety ol' curmudgeon that viagra doesn't work on any more, so have the manly-man XDs to makeup for lost ground in that department.

Joking aside, the only thing I didn't like was the ridge right below the thumb groove, it rubbed on my thumb and got kind of painful after 100 rounds or so... it seems to have gotten better after installing the PRP xtreme grips though.

I didn't buy my XDs to be a range gun so I don't anticipate any issues. My first outing consisted of around 275 rounds and my right hand and wrist were a little sore and I was treated to a bit of slide bite. the next day I shot almost another 150 rounds and my wrist bothered me a bit. I have not had any additional slide bite since my first outing. I don't think trips to the range and putting 100 rounds through my XDs to stay proficient will be any trouble at all.

    None I can think of.

Some say it rubs there hand raw after shooting a while, but I've ran about 200rds. in one session w/o any discomfort.

My only discomfort is a lack of ammo. I seem to shoot it all so fast!

Plus, until recently the lack of magazines was a pain too... but a box of mags from Midway cured this!

All levity aside, my only complaint is that my hands feel a bit "buzzed" after a range session.

I have experienced absolutely no discomforts with my XDS (230 rds.).

After I get 130 more JHP defensive rounds through it this week, it will become my EDC. [Before carrying a firearm, my reliability comfort zone is a minimum of 200 FMJ rds. and 200 JHP rds.] Thus far, the XDS has performed flawlessly.

I will continue to put at least 20-30 rounds per week through the XDS to maintain its defensive capability but, more than likely, will put a lot more rounds through my XD9SC and Ruger Mark III Target to keep ammo costs down. Because I also keep a Ruger SR1911 as my primary home defense firearm, I always try to shoot at least 20-30 rds. per week through it as well.

The only discomfort I have had with mine was on a really hot day and I was sweating like crazy and I started to get some blistering on my hand. I have not had any blistering or other problems since then.

My only discomfort was the day after I put 200 rounds through mine! My wrist was a bit sore but what can you expect after that many .45acp rounds? Other than that....no discomfort, blisters, slide bite, yadda, yadda....
